About this Painting

When I was younger, I carried a great deal of anxiety about my future. I worried about what career to pursue, what choices to make, and whether I was doing enough to succeed. I sought advice from countless people, hoping someone could tell me exactly what path to follow, yet I still felt uncertain.

One day, an image came to mind: a girl surrounded by scrolls bearing the names, opinions, and expectations of others, while the scroll meant for her own story remained unwritten. I realized I had become so focused on the lives and decisions of those around me that I had stopped listening to the dreams God had placed within my own heart.

This painting is a reminder to seek wisdom from trusted friends and family, but not to lose yourself in the process. Your story was never meant to be a copy of someone else’s. It is still being written, and there is beauty in learning to dream.

After all, the scroll that mattered most was the last to be written.
