About this Painting
One evening after coming home from work, I sat down wondering what my next painting should be. As I listened to several 80s songs, I found myself inspired by the bold and unexpected colors that seemed to define so much of that era.
Originally, I planned to paint this portrait of Jesus Christ using more traditional colors. But with each song, I felt drawn to different shades I normally wouldn't have chosen. What began as a simple portrait slowly transformed into something far more vibrant than I had intended.
As the painting developed, I was reminded that Christ's light shines through every generation and every culture. While the colors may be unconventional, the message remains the same. Jesus Christ is a source of hope, peace, and guidance in a world full of noise and distraction.
This painting serves as a reminder that God can inspire us in unexpected ways and that beauty is often found when we are willing to step outside of our comfort zone.
