I Will Come To You | Canvas Print
About this Painting
As I reflected on the story of the woman caught in adultery, I found myself thinking deeply about the compassion of the Savior. Rather than condemning her, Jesus knelt to her level and met her with mercy, kindness, and love. That image stayed with me and became the inspiration for this painting.
The title comes from the Savior's promise in John 14:18: "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." Although spoken in a different setting, I believe that promise is beautifully reflected in the way Christ ministered throughout His life. He didn't wait for people to become perfect before drawing near. He met them in their grief, their shame, their loneliness, and their need, offering hope when they needed it most.
When you see this painting, remember that the Savior's promise is just as true today. No matter where you are or what you're carrying, Jesus Christ has not forgotten you. He knows your heart, He walks beside you, and He will never leave you comfortless.
