About this Painting
I’ve always loved painting horses, so it was only a matter of time before I painted a mare and her foal. After becoming close friends with someone whose fields were often filled with mares and their babies, I found myself inspired by the quiet moments they shared together.
There is something incredibly gentle about the bond between a mother and her foal. Their trust, affection, and constant companionship reminded me that some of life’s most beautiful moments don’t need words—they’re felt.
When you look at this painting, I hope it reminds you to appreciate the quiet relationships in your own life. Love is often found in the smallest moments, and those are the ones we tend to remember the longest.
