About this Painting
When I first decided to paint a lion, my goal was simple: I wanted to capture its incredible majesty. The more I studied its strength, quiet confidence, and commanding presence, the more I found myself reflecting on one of Isaiah's beautiful prophecies.
"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them." — Isaiah 11:6 (KJV)
Although this painting depicts a lion resting beside a lamb, it was inspired by that promise of a future kingdom filled with perfect peace. The lion's strength is not a threat to the lamb—it becomes its protection. In God's kingdom, fear gives way to peace, and what was once divided is brought together through Him.
When you look at this painting, remember that God's promises are certain. His peace is greater than fear, His power is guided by perfect love, and one day His peaceable kingdom will become a reality.
