Peaceable Kingdom | Canvas Print
Peaceable Kingdom | Canvas Print
I have always wanted to paint a lion because I love their majesty, strength, and power. When I finally painted one, I was inspired by the beautiful prophecy found in Isaiah 11 about a future time of peace.
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid...” Later it says, “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain.” Isaiah 11:6, 9 KJV
I loved the idea of showing a powerful lion peacefully resting beside a little lamb. They are so different from each other, yet neither has anything to fear.
This painting is a reminder to me of what God has promised and the peace that will one day fill His kingdom. When you see it, I hope it brings you a little bit of that peace now.
